1960 Borgward Isabella Coupé project
http://atlanta.craigslist.org/atl/cto/3971302844.html
Here’s a rare one to see on our shores. The Borgwards were made in Bremen, Germany until 1962 and were pretty run of the mill family cars until the launch of the coupé in 1957. The Isabellas are powered by a not-so-impressive 75hp 1.5 liter four cylinder mated to a four speed manual transmission but the coupé looked much more exotic and would have been at home on the streets of Milan. Somehow this Borgward ended up in Rockmart, GA and while it needs a lot of work it will stand out in a crowd. Find this on Craigslist with a steep asking price of $3000 considering the work needed.

Found on Craigslist in Athens, GA. This ’67 BGT looks really clean, especially for the asking price of $3,000. The ivory white paint and steel wheels with chrome hubcaps suit this MG well. Snatch this one quickly as it probably won’t be for sale for long.
1970 Citroën DS21 in South Carolina
http://greenville.craigslist.org/cto/3976618367.html
The Citroën DS oozes french style from the bullet rear indicators shooting off the roof line to the single bladed steering wheel right down to the brake bubble in lieu of a pedal. Unfortunately the overly complex system of hydraulics can ooze just about as much. This ’70 DS21 is said to be a good driver and it sits well which indicates that the suspension hydraulics may be in good nick. It looks good in pale yellow with the black roof although the interior will need to be redone. Find it on Craigslist in Columbia, South Carolina for $5900.
1964 Vespa VBB in Newnan, GA
http://atlanta.craigslist.org/sat/mcy/3924994880.html
To go along with the Lambretta from yesterday here is a ’64 Vespa VBB that’s a little less expensive. The seller claims to have installed a new engine, transmission, rear hub and electronics and the rest of the bike looks clean. You’d be hard pressed to do the same work on this scooter for less than the $2300 asking price. Check this one out in Newnan, GA on Craigslist.
1962 Dnepr 2wd Military Motorcycle with Sidecar
http://atlanta.craigslist.org/eat/mcy/3893530484.html
Based on the war time BMW R71 Dnepr built military bikes like this one for the USSR through to the 80’s. This ’62 is said to have a 650cc motor which was the first OHV engine that Dnepr built and a very cool two wheel drive system that drives the sidecar. With a reverse gear and high ground clearance these are said to be formidable off road machines. Stick your dog in the sidecar and you’ll turn heads in this for sure. Find it here in Covington, GA with offers and trades being taken but no price listed.
1957 GMC 350 Farm Truck
http://athensga.craigslist.org/cto/3936372875.html
This ’57 GMC is in Athens, GA and has been on Craigslist for about a month with a recent re-list and lowered price to $1800. The 270 cubic inch 6 cylinder mated to a two speed rear axle would certainly pull stumps and haul anything that you can throw at it. The chrome treatment added to the front end of these trucks is fantastic and you can’t find curves like this on anything from this century. We’re sure this would take some work to get back on the road but its reasonably priced and would make a great shop truck.
1963 Lambretta LI125 in Birmingham, Alabama
http://bham.craigslist.org/mcy/3937479053.html
Here is a really nice looking Lambretta scooter found on Craigslist in Birmingham. The seller claims to have upped the original 125cc to a 150cc for a bit more umph. We love the spare tire placement and the two tone paint screams Italian style. $3600 is the asking price which isn’t crazy for one of these. The sale comes with two helmets so grab a pair of Ray Bans and someone you wouldn’t mind on the back and hit the road to the nearest café.
1989 Coors Light Team Edition Lemond
http://www.ebay.com/itm/271250637819?redirect=mobile
Here is a fully specced 56cm Coors Light Team Edition Lemond found on eBay. For the ’89 season Greg Lemond ride for the ADR Team while in Europe where he won his second Tour de France by an amazing 8 seconds. Back in the US though he raced for the Silver Bullet and here’s the ride to prove it. This Columbus TSX frameset is wearing a period correct full Campagnolo C-Record groupo. The Delta brakes are a work of art which is nice considering they don’t function too well as brakes. You will certainly stand out at the next group ride with this.
1964 Porsche 356 SC
This ’64 356 became part of the family in 2007 and is the pride of the shop. It sees regular use in vintage rallies and has garnered a few victories of its own. The stock 1600cc engine has been upped to 1750 and a hot cam has been added. Twin Weber downdrafts have replaced the original Solexes and a Carrera style stainless exhaust was installed let it breath easier. Inside the side glass has been replaced with plexi to save weight and a set of Longines rally stopwatches were added to keep us on schedule. Up front period Marchals light the way and stone guards keep the rocks at bay when navigating on the occasional dirt road.
1969 Alfa Romeo 1750 GTV in Charleston, SC
http://www.hemmings.com/classifieds/carsforsale/alfa_romeo/gtv_1750/1546948.html
We love Alfa GTV’s and who can really blame us? The lines of this Italian are fantastic and it doesn’t get much better than a twin cam, fuel injected 2.0 liter matted to a 5 speed gearbox for a run through the twisties. This GTV looks great in dark maroon compared to the more common resale red found on a lot of Alfas. Find this one in Charleston, South Carolina on Hemmings for $30,000.
