Gaggle of old motorcycles: 1960’s-early 1970’s BSA, Triumph, Husqvarna

Up for sale is a set of three vintage motorcycle projects. The BSA is a late 60’s single cylinder. Stuck engine but everything is there, clean tank. The Triumph is most likely an early 70’s 250 Trophy, no engine/trans but all else is there. Clean tank. The Husqvarna is an early 70’s two stroke. The engine spins freely and has compression. We have not tried to get it to start yet. $2600 for the lot of three bikes. Feel free to email with questions or to arrange a time to see them.

Rally Certified: 1993 BMW R100GS Paris Dakar

Up for sale is a wicked cool 1993 R100 GS Paris Dakar.

The White/Teal PD paint scheme on this bike screams early 90s Germany. This bike is in very original shape. Features include heated grips, stone guard on the headlight, auxiliary oil cooler, knuckle guards and a perfect set of hard bags and rear rack. The only changes made from stock are the addition of a SuperTrap exhaust and a slightly larger front fender. The original exhaust and fender will accompany the sale along with a spare set of tires. 91,037 miles. Starts easily, runs great and has had a recent service.

Feel free to email with questions or to arrange a time to see the bike. $7500

Thanks for looking.

One Sweet Airhead: 1978 BMW R80/7

Up for sale is my 1978 R80/7.

I’ve owned and ridden this bike for the last 6 years and it has always been good to me. The Euro handlebars are slightly narrower than the original American bars and bar-end turnsignals have replaced the original units. The saddle has been recently recovered and is in great shape. Krauser hard cases and rear rack are in great condition as well. The Porsche anniversary silver paint shines and there isn’t any rust on the bike. The wheels are true, the Michelin Macadam tires have plenty of life in them and the front and rear shocks are good.

78,341 miles. Feel free to contact me with questions or to come see the bike. $5500

http://charleston.craigslist.org/mcy/4302777204.html

This 1974 Triumph Bonneville looks super clean and is claimed to be in very original condition. The seller states that it needs some TLC but what old British bike doesn’t? Find it above on Craigslist in Charleston, SC for $4500.

Vintage Motorcycle Stash outside Charlotte, NC

http://charlotte.craigslist.org/mcy/4256908074.html

We’re not sure what kind of prices this seller is asking but from the looks of the Craigslist ad he’s got quite a collection of early motorcycles, bicycles and accessories. Pictured is a Simplex, a Whizzer and a front engined, front drive bike that looks to be from the 40’s. If anyone is in the Charlotte area it may be worth a trip to the White Owl Antique mall in Concord. Find the number in the link above.

Old-school project: 1930’s DKW Barnfind

http://atlanta.craigslist.org/atl/mcy/4231321090.html

We found this DKW project on Atlanta’s Craigslist. The owner claims that the original frame was converted to a soft-tail in the 50’s and that there are two engines included in the sale. There aren’t any pictures in the listing nor is there a price but if we get a reply we’ll post up what we get. Plan on this one being a full project as it hasn’t run since the early 60’s. The picture above is what they looked like new.

Clean, high revving Yamaha in Atlanta

http://atlanta.craigslist.org/nat/mcy/4159852496.html

We came across this clean ’74 Yamaha RD200 on Craigslist over the weekend. These bikes are a scream both litteraly and figuratively as they’ll rev upwards of 10,000 rpm. While we wouldn’t ride this bike across the country, the torque that these have make them a blast to race around town on. Find it above in Dunwoody with an asking price of $1975.

Project of the week: 1959 BSA Super Rocket in Atlanta

http://atlanta.craigslist.org/nat/mcy/4158006688.html

First off, note that the picture above is not of the actual project BSA for sale but a stock photo of the same year and model. We found this ’59 Super Rocket on Craigslist in Atlanta with an owner that’s looking for good home for it. The Super Rockets feature a 650cc twin and were pretty reliable. At $1000 its worth a call to see what kind of shape this one is in.

1952 NSU 201zb in original condition

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=261283622488#ht_500wt_1182

Here’s a very cool ’52 NSU motorcycle that we found on eBay. There aren’t a lot of NSU’s over here and the owner also claims to have a ’51 Zundapp. The NSU was up for auction a few weeks ago with a starting price of $3,900 but ended without a bid. Its now been reduced to $3,200 but it may be worth asking the seller for a package deal with the Zundapp depending on its condition. Find it above on eBay in Florida with 6 days to go.
