Calling all Tour de France and Giro d’Italia fans!!
Up for sale are complete sets of Lazer Solid State SS1 and Magneto M1 sunglasses built specially for the Lotto Soudal Team to use in the Tour de France and the Giro d’Italia. Andre “The Gorilla” Greipel has already sported the Green frames and while the Yellow, Polka Dot Giro frames may not be worn this year you can be the envy of your friends on the next group ride. The Solid State gives you pro rider style combined with top level performance. The shield lens provides good coverage and a wide field of view while dual vents make sure it doesn’t fog up. Adjustable hydrophilic rubber temples allow you to customize the fit to be sure they stay in place on long rides. Smoke with Red Mirror, Yellow and Clear interchangeable lenses are included to help you conquer any conditions mother nature dishes out. A microfiber cleaning bag is also included to keep everything spic and span.
Lazer’s Magneto sunglass system uses cleverly placed magnets that replace traditional long temples. The magnets attach to small MagClips that fasten to the forward most strap of your helmet. The result is a sunglass that stays put no mater what you throw at it all the while staying cool and comfortable. Check out Lazersport.com for more information on all the Lazer sunglass products.

Found here on eBay is a fantastically original Bianchi Superleggera.
The Columbus SL frameset was chrome plated at the factory and still wears its original Celeste paint. The Chrome plating has kept rust at bay over the last 27 years. The paint shows some cracking underneath the clear coat that gives it a nice patina. The original Campagnolo Chorus 7 speed groupo is complete and functions as it should. Ambrosio rims, a Bianchi logoed 3T stem, 3T 42cm bars and Bianchi Celeste Selle Italia saddle round out the build. This Supperleggera has just received a full tear down and rebuild. The bottom bracket, headset and hubs have all been rebuilt. Add your favorite pedals and this Bianchi is ready for your next vintage ride. Feel free to email with questions or to arrange a time to view and ride this piece of Italian history.

This Colnago features a full Campagnolo Super Record groupo that is in equally great shape and works flawlessly. Thirty-six hole Red Label Fiamme rims are built with DT Swiss spokes on rare Super Record high-flange hubs. Up for sale is a 1989 Schwinn Paramount in amazingly original condition. These were the last of the truly great, handmade frames to come out of Waterford, Wisconsin bearing the Schwinn name.
The 56cm frame is made of lugged Columbus SLX tubing and still wears its original Royal Blue color. We are the second owners of this frame having owned it since the early 90’s. It has always been pampered and kept inside.
The component kit features a period correct, Shimano Dura-Ace 7402 8-speed build short of the headset and bottom bracket which are Shimano Ultegra sealed bearing units. The Dura-Ace downtube SIS shifters show slight wear but still function well. The Dura-Ace 7401 brake levers are near flawless short of slight cracking of the original rubber hoods (pictured). The Dura-Ace hubs, front and rear derailleurs, crankset and brakeset are all in great shape with only slight wear which is to be expected for 25 year old parts.
The rest of the build features a vintage Bernard Hinault Turbo saddle complete with “The Badger” logos, 120mm 3TTT stem, and 3TTT Ergo Power Duo 42cm handlebars. Cinelli nude Cork-Gel bar tape and the brown leather saddle offset the Royal Blue frame well for that classic look. The pedals are Campagnolo Nuovo Record clips and straps to really put you back in the 80’s.
This bike will look as good on your wall is it will at the local group ride or sitting at the café while you enjoy a cup of joe. Stand out from the crowd of foreign built carbon and aluminum bikes with this blast from the past for a fraction of the cost of a new, top-of-the-line ride.
The bike is at our shop in Athens, GA. Feel free to email with questions, for more pictures or to arrange a time to come and see it. Find it above on eBay for $1999 or best offer.
We’re not sure what kind of prices this seller is asking but from the looks of the Craigslist ad he’s got quite a collection of early motorcycles, bicycles and accessories. Pictured is a Simplex, a Whizzer and a front engined, front drive bike that looks to be from the 40’s. If anyone is in the Charlotte area it may be worth a trip to the White Owl Antique mall in Concord. Find the number in the link above.
Up for sale is a 15.5″ Fisher Wahoo Disc in showroom condition. This is a good, solid entry level MTB that we’re helping a friend sell for $550 or best offer. Drop us a line if you’re interested. This would make a great Christmas present!
Here’s one of our rides that is up on the auction block. Its a 56cm Schwinn Paramount with a Columbus SLX tubeset and a full Ultegra 6500 9-speed kit. Find it here on eBay with no reserve. Feel free to drop us a line if you have any questions.
Here’s a clean example of one of the first widely used carbon frames in the pro peleton. This TVT-92 isn’t branded as something else which wasn’t as common in those days. The Dura Ace 7401 7-speed groupo looks clean and the rest of the build is period correct. Find this one on eBay in Leicestershire, UK with a reasonable Buy-It-Now price of $771.
Here’s an interesting one from a shop called Vintage-Steel out of Germany. Its a ’92 Basso Laguna which was their first monocoque carbon frame but it was built in Van Buren, Maine by Aegis. This frame wears a Dura Ace 7400 groupo and all looks to be in nice shape. Check out www.steel-vintage.com for a wide array of cool old bikes.
