1964 Vespa VBB in Newnan, GA

http://atlanta.craigslist.org/sat/mcy/3924994880.html

To go along with the Lambretta from yesterday here is a ’64 Vespa VBB that’s a little less expensive. The seller claims to have installed a new engine, transmission, rear hub and electronics and the rest of the bike looks clean. You’d be hard pressed to do the same work on this scooter for less than the $2300 asking price. Check this one out in Newnan, GA on Craigslist.

1962 Dnepr 2wd Military Motorcycle with Sidecar

http://atlanta.craigslist.org/eat/mcy/3893530484.html

Based on the war time BMW R71 Dnepr built military bikes like this one for the USSR through to the 80’s. This ’62 is said to have a 650cc motor which was the first OHV engine that Dnepr built and a very cool two wheel drive system that drives the sidecar. With a reverse gear and high ground clearance these are said to be formidable off road machines. Stick your dog in the sidecar and you’ll turn heads in this for sure. Find it here in Covington, GA with offers and trades being taken but no price listed.

1957 GMC 350 Farm Truck

http://athensga.craigslist.org/cto/3936372875.html

This ’57 GMC is in Athens, GA and has been on Craigslist for about a month with a recent re-list and lowered price to $1800. The 270 cubic inch 6 cylinder mated to a two speed rear axle would certainly pull stumps and haul anything that you can throw at it. The chrome treatment added to the front end of these trucks is fantastic and you can’t find curves like this on anything from this century. We’re sure this would take some work to get back on the road but its reasonably priced and would make a great shop truck.

1963 Lambretta LI125 in Birmingham, Alabama

http://bham.craigslist.org/mcy/3937479053.html

Here is a really nice looking Lambretta scooter found on Craigslist in Birmingham. The seller claims to have upped the original 125cc to a 150cc for a bit more umph. We love the spare tire placement and the two tone paint screams Italian style. $3600 is the asking price which isn’t crazy for one of these. The sale comes with two helmets so grab a pair of Ray Bans and someone you wouldn’t mind on the back and hit the road to the nearest café.

1968 Mercedes Pagoda 280SL

This ’68 Mercedes was for sale in Birmingham, AL with the Craigslist ad just expiring yesterday. The post was not deleted though so the car may still be for sale. If so, at $37,500 it may not be a bad deal for a Pagoda that is said to have $60,000 invested in its restoration. The car is said to have been sitting for a couple years which is evident by the layer of dust on it. Add that to the fact that it won’t start and you may be able to negotiate on it a bit. The original CL post is below.

“Beautiful 1968 280 sl Mercedes. Off white with blue interior and blue hard top. Over 60 thousand has been spent on the restoration of this car. New brakes, shocks, exhaust and all components under the hood with the exception of the block. The car has been sitting for approximately 2 years and at current is not running. Sould be running just fine after the fuel system is cleaned out. Please call Clay at 205-266-1368. I will not answer texts or emails. Pictures to follow soon.”

1972 Oil Flap 911T

http://greenville.craigslist.org/cto/3948289580.html

This ’72 911 T is known as an “oil flap” car for its external oil filler cap on the rear passenger side fender. Porsche moved the oil tank for 1972 to help reduce the weight hung behind the rear wheels and combat complaints of snap oversteer that could catch the inexperienced driver by surprise. The external filler cap resulted in an unforeseen problem when gas station attendants inadvertently filled the oil tank with gas and thus the flap went away by 1973. This particular 2.4 liter 911 has been updated to look like a ’75 930 with wider rear fenders, whale tale, newer bumpers and seats. This was a common mod in the ’80’s and while we’re not a fan of it, the result is a good deal on an early 911. Backdate this car with the correct fenders and bumpers and you’ll have a one year only 911 with a value that’s on the up and up.

1973 BMW 2002 in East Tennessee

http://knoxville.craigslist.org/cto/3950410559.html

2002’s look best with round taillights, small bumpers and big round driving lights. This ’73 ticks all of these and adds period Alpina style wheels to boot. This car claims to be from Florida where it was in storage for quite a while. It can stand some interior work but the bones of a good ’02 look present. Find this one for $4500 in the Knoxville area.

1969 Triumph 500 T100C

http://atlanta.craigslist.org/atl/mcy/3917492597.html

Here is a good looking ’69 Triumph 500 in North Carolina. $3500 seems a reasonable price considering the work that is said to have been done.

1966 Mercedes 250S

http://atlanta.craigslist.org/atl/cto/3919372938.html

This is a nice looking w109 found on Atlanta Craigslist. We like the bullet proof straight sixes and low seat backs on these pre-’67 cars. The floor shifter is a nice option and the undercarriage looks clean. $4900
